CRAIG ROBERTS
In a local scene totally saturated with so called DJsfew can claim to have been there from the start and have played a vital role in shaping it to where it is today. One DJ that can though is CRAIG ROBERTS. Formerly known as Tran C, Craig was a name synonymous with clubbers and peers alike. He was instrumental in delivering the most cutting edge and freshest music to the punters and pivotal in making clubs such as Doobies and Fever the legends that they are today. Ask many a DJ on the coast these days who inspired them to start and you will find Craigs name pops up time and time again. Over the years Craig has consistently pushed and developed his sound, his ear and natural gift for picking big tunes before they break is something he has never lost and continues to display every weekend at his home residency, Platinum Nightclub. With a sound catered for the dancefloor, Craigs core sound revolves around big room house music filtering through elements of tribal, electro and always with a groove. Versatility is one of Craigs best traits, he is just as comfortable bringing it home at 5am as he is setting the mood early on in the evening at QLDs number one nightclub. His ability to warm up the room to perfection has not gone unnoticed and he is a regular favourite with international and interstate artists who play at Platinum after him. Craigs long list of the worlds best artists he has supported goes on and on and is a testament to his talent and experience. The festival circuit is not unfamiliar territory for him either, playing festivals such as Summafieldayze, Two Tribes and most recently playing to a sell out One Love NYD crowd at Coolangatta Hotel. Craig Roberts made his debut in the 2008/2009 Sony InTheMix50 poll at #48 nationally and soared to the #11 spot in Queensland. Craig Roberts, versatility, skill and all round attitude has helped him not only cement himself as one of Qlds best but more so regarded as real DJ Royalty.
